At Eaves Green Community Farm, our mission is to cultivate not just plants, but also a sense of community. Nestled upon a beautiful 6-acre field south of the Eaves Green estate in Chorley, we are laying the groundwork for a sustainable farm that will provide fresh produce, vibrant wildlife, and educational opportunities for everyone.
Our Vision
Led by Liz and Neil, who acquired the land in November 2025, we are excited to bring our vision to life. The farm will feature:
- Vegetable Growing Areas: A variety of seasonal vegetables that will nourish our community.
- An Orchard: Rows of fruit trees, providing fresh fruit and shade for all.
- Wildflower Meadows: Beautiful habitats for pollinators and other wildlife.
- Animal Husbandry: Future plans include chickens and goats to teach sustainable animal care.
Get Involved!
Our project is still in its early stages, and we need enthusiastic community members to help us grow. We invite you to participate every Sunday afternoon. Here’s how you can help:

- Wildflower Planting: Join us in planting seeds for our meadows to promote biodiversity.
- Promote local biodiversity by creating habitats for wildlife.
- Foster a sense of belonging and strengthen community ties.
- Educate participants about sustainable practices and food sources.
- Encourage a healthier lifestyle through access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Wear comfortable clothes: Expect to get a bit dirty and dress for the weather.
- Stay Hydrated: Bring a water bottle and take breaks to stay refreshed.
- Ask Questions: Don’t hesitate to ask experienced volunteers for guidance.
- Have Fun! Enjoy the process of learning and connecting with nature.
